Built in 1907, this gracious historic home of noted industrialist Peter Kirk is located just minutes from the Friday Harbor ferry terminal and provides guests with an opportunity to enjoy the comfort and relaxation of a bygone era. At the Kirk House we aspire to create a charming ambiance and a comfortable and caring place to spend your vacation or just a weekend away from the stresses of daily life.

Start your morning with a cup of our own blend of coffee, our award winning homemade granola, and a full breakfast. After breakfast, explore the island’s trails and waters year-round, or take the easy walk to town for shopping in one of the unique shops and good food in one of the island’s many excellent restaurants. In addition to breakfast each morning, we offer an afternoon snack featuring seasonal baked goods and hot or cold beverages which can be enjoyed in the parlor, on one of the swings in the yard, or on our wraparound veranda.
When you step into the Kirk House you are greeted by a warm and inviting parlor. Fine craftsmanship is evident in the original woodwork, fireplace, and art glass. The historic wall color and Bradbury and Bradbury wallpaper along with the many antiques make it a warm and inviting room. Along with these historic attributes, we also offer modern amenities including wireless internet access, cable TV, and DVD players in each guest room. Guest can also enjoy our library of popular DVD’s.
Whether your plans include whale watching, kayaking, bicycling or just relaxing, the Kirk House is your place to stay on San Juan Island.
